CCTV Gives the Thumbs Up! The 10,000th CRE Train Arrives in Hamburg, Products Made in Shaanxi Go Global Through CRE (Chang'an)

At 14:13 (German time) on September 9,the 10,000thChina Railway Express train in 2022 slowly arrived at the Port of Hamburg in Germany.Wang Wei, acting consul general of the Chinese Consulate General in Hamburg,Axel Mattern, CEO of Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. (HHM),and other guests attended the receiving ceremony which was covered by CCTV News.

On August 21, this CRE (Chang'an) freight train departed from Xi'an Guojigang Railway Station and went abroad through the Alashankou Port, carrying titanium plates, color LCD panels, and other products produced by local manufacturing enterprises in Shaanxi,and arriving in Hamburg, Germany along a journey of more than 9,000 kilometers. This is also the 10,000thCRE train.CRE (Chang'an) has become an important bridge for the cooperation and development between China and Germany, and between China and Europe.

This year marks the 50thanniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany. The arrival of the 10,000thCRE train in Hamburg highlights the important position of Hamburg as Germany's largest comprehensive port, the world's largest railway port, and the sea-land hub of the Belt and Road Initiative, and marks a new milestone for the cooperation between the two countries. This batch of goods is titanium plates purchased from Shaanxi, China, which will be mainly used to make scalpels, surgical forceps, and surgical tweezers as well as in dental surgery, such as dental implants, denture stents, crown bridges, and dental orthodontic filaments. After being processed, they will be sold to the European market.
