One More International Partner of ITL Group

The year of 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the 30th anniversary of the sistership between Xi'an (China) and Dortmund (Germany), which is of great meaning for DB Cargo and Borussia Dortmund (BVB).

Over the past 30 years, Xi'an and Dortmund have communicated in the economic and cultural fields, and both peoples' feelings have been further deepened. As the shipping entity of the China Railway Express (Chang’an), Xi'an International Inland Port Multimodal Transportation Co., Ltd. has built a bridge of friendship and bridged the gap between the two cities.

DB Cargo

DB Cargo Eurasia (DBCE) started to play a role in the Eurasian Corridors in 2008. Since the restructuring in 2018, it has become an expert of DB Group in Eurasian rail transportation of containers. To get closer to the Chinese market, it set up DB CargoTransasia (DBCT), a wholly-owned subsidiary, in China in 2021. DBCE also built a network of rail transportation for DB Group on the eastern borders of the EU to serve goods to and from Asia. Now, rail transportation from Europe to China is an efficient and competitive alternative for customers to time-consuming ocean transportation and expensive air transportation.

Xi'an International Inland Port Multimodal Transportation Co., Ltd. by ITL Group cooperates with DB Cargo, a new partner of BVB in China, to send cargo to China by China Railway Express. Due to the above, DB Cargo facilitates a tripartite partnership with BVB and ITL Sports.

Signing Ceremony

After the ceremony, representatives of Xi'an Municipal People's Government, Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Sports, Xi'an Football Association, ITL Group, DB Cargo, BVB, and people from all walks of life jointly unveiled the specially painted containers customized by Dortmund that were transported by China Railway Express from Duisburg, Germany to Xi’an Port, and settled the yellow and black containers in the ITL Sports Park for fans to take a photo.

Thanks to the cooperation between ITL Sports and BVB, a two-day ITL Youth Football Training Camp was organized on Sept. 3 and 4. The young players worked hard and forged ahead. German coaches provided professional and comprehensive football guidance, including teamwork, communication, flexible coordination, and explosive power, and trained the participants to admit defeat but never give up so that they could hold an optimistic attitude towards failure and enjoy themselves on the pitch, which laid a foundation for the cultivation of young football talents in China.

Football indicates hard work, team spirit, mutual respect, and mutual trust in a fair competition.Xi'an and Dortmundhave witnessed a deeper railway-bound friendship between the two nations.
